Darrell Huskey grew up in Wears Valley and was the last proprietor of The Wonderland Hotel that was once located in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park. When visiting Wonderland Antiques, not only do customers get the opportunity to browse through our rooms filled with unique items from days gone by, they can hear stories about the area, learn about places to visit and leave knowing that they will always be welcomed back with a big smile. Darrell has always loved meeting new people and making folks feel welcome in The Smokies. Stop in, have a cup of coffee and enjoy your visit to The Chosen Land with us!
Visitors to our area fall in love with the history that surrounds The Great Smoky Mountains. In addition to our Antiques, primitive tools and items used in these mountains years ago, we have Tennessee tobacco stick art and woodcarvings from brothers, Darrell and Dale. Popular among locals, now available in our store.
Browse our selection of Antiques, primitive tools and items used in the East Tennessee mountains! Our vendors carry a wide assortment of antique guns, coca cola memorabilia, Native American crafts and more! We are also proud to carry handcrafted wood art from brothers Darrell and Dale Huskey. Known for their wood carvings and tobacco stick art by locals, they are now available in our store. We are minutes from The Foothills Parkway, Pigeon Forge, Townsend and more! Best of all, our store is located less than 3 minutes from the Wears Valley entrance to the Great Smoky National Park. We are a must stop on your way to explore The Walker Sister's Cabin, Metcalf Bottoms and Cades Cove. Stop by on your way to Elkmont to the site of The Wonderland Hotel and talk to the man who knows it's history better than most! Darrell Huskey, owner of Ridin The Smokeys and Wonderland Antiques, ran the hotel from 1979 until it's final day in 1992. The stories from his days at Wonderland are many! In fact, a book is currently in publication detailing those years.
